Rhino Joins Pirates

The winger has only appeared for City at Darlington in the LDV Trophy this season, scoring in the 82nd minute. However, that goal hasn't improved his first team chances, with Jason Price, Stuart Elliott, Andy Holt and Ryan France all ahead of him in the pecking order for the wide berths.

The temporary move to the Memorial Stadium will allow him to play first team football again - something he has struggled to do on a regular basis since Peter Taylor took charge. The terms of the deal make him eligible to face City when the two sides meet in a month's time, and he has also been given permission to represent Rovers in the FA Cup.

Williams has made 47 starts in all competitions and has come off the bench 14 times since joining in 2001. However, he's failed to live up to the £150,000 price City paid Chesterfield for him, finding the net just 3 times.
