The right-back hasn't played for City since last season, with Alton Thelwell, Richard Hinds, Lee Marshall and Marc Joseph all ahead of him in the pecking order. His only appearance was in the LDV Trophy back in October, and then played for times for Chester in a January loan spell.

Peter Taylor's now revealed what everyone expected, and is in talks to terminate his contract before it expires in the summer.

He said: "He's got no chance with us I can't even guarantee him a reserve game. He's a good lad and he needs to play."

The 23-year-old was brought to City by Jan Molby on loan from Barnsley at the start of last season, and after 15 starts Peter Taylor signed him on a free transfer. He made a further 25 appearances, some of which were in a more attacking right-wing position, before finding himself out of Taylor's plans.

He played in last night's East Riding Senior Cup semi-final victory over Bridlington Town, and that could be his last outing in a Hull City shirt. The game finished 0-0 after extra time and so was decided by a penalty shoot-out. Michael Cooper, Simon Russell and Steve Burton despatched City's three kicks, while the visitors converted only one of their four. They'll face either Hider Foods or Withernsea in the final, due to be played at the KC Stadium on 12th May.
