Peat Impresses In Trial

Peat was released by the Tigers at the end of his contract this summer after spending the last year on loan to Lincoln, where he failed to make an appearance beyond the first half of the season.

He now looks to kickstart his career with Conference side York, whom Clayton Donaldson also signed for after being released by City this summer. Peat played in their 2-1 friendly defeat at Frickley Athletic last night and is expected to sign a contract with them.

The 22-year-old came through the youth system at his hometown club as a midfielder before being converted to a left-back, and has made 25 appearances in all, 6 of which were for City.

Meanwhile, fellow ex-Tiger Matt Glennon has joined Falkirk on a free transfer from Carlisle.

Another former City player, midfielder Gary Brabin, could also be fixing himself up with a new club. After retiring 18 months ago due to a heart condition, the 34-year-old is now set to join Halifax Town.
