Pearson reveals safety fears

The Tigers took the lead from a Robert Koren strike before Boro levelled as Tony McMahon crossed for Leroy Lita to head home.

Hull regained the lead in the 41st minute as Koren floated a free-kick into a crowded box for Anthony Gerrard to send a looping header into the top corner. The home side came out fighting after the break and levelled within 30 seconds as Lita crossed for Scott McDonald to power in a near-post header.

Pearson said: "Another 20 minutes and it might not have kicked off. I was happy enough that it started but once the snow got heavier, well I have seen games like that curtailed.

"There was lots of honesty and endeavour on both sides and neither bench was moaning but the weather did make it hard to get the best out of the players. We got something out of it and we kept the unbeaten run going - it's five away from home now - so it is easier to be philosophical about it. I may not have been so happy if we had lost."
