Pearson: No More Signings

13 new players were brought in before the start of the season, while Richard Sneekes, Jason Van Blerk and Matt Wicks have also joined, bringing the squad up to 27 players. Therefore Pearson is now putting a stop on new signings until the closed season.

He said: "The only decision we have to take will be Neil Roberts. I can categorically say that we are not going to make any more permanent transfers.
"I am happy with the mix of the squad, although we could look at another loan signing.
"Brian [Little] and I are already assessing players for next season but that will be just a case of strengthening the squad and we certainly won't be seeing wholesale changes like last summer."

Roberts is on loan until the end of the month, but with Lawrie Dudfield and Gary Alexander fully fit, Rodney Rowe returning in a week or so and Gary Bradshaw and Theo Whitmore also available, the Wigan forward may be surplus to requirements at Boothferry Park.
