Pearson frustrated after stalemate

Hull manager Nigel Pearson admitted it was Groundhog Day after another goalless draw at the KC Stadium. The home crowd were forced to endure a third stalemate of the campaign against resolute Coventry. "It's the same old story to an extent, but I do think we're making progress," said Pearson. "To only have 12 points after 10 games is disappointing. It's clear where we need to improve. "I'm aware of our shortcomings and we need to work hard to improve them. It's frustrating in some ways, but I'm confident we'll improve. "We are not scoring goals or creating enough chances. It's something we'll have to solve. To not concede any goals in our first five games at home is creditable, but clearly we need to have more of a goal threat."
