Parkinson: Signings ''Close''

Manager Phil Parkinson says that City are "close to a couple of deals going through."

Swansea full-back Ricketts is currently in talks in Hull. A clause in his contract allows him to speak to clubs who bid over £300,000 for him, and City hope that the Swans will succumb to letting the Welsh international move. They have already turned down a transfer involving unnamed Hull City players moving in the other direction.

Meanwhile, Boaz Myhill looks unlikely to be leaving the club. Many thought that City's previous manager, Peter Taylor, would be returning to take the goalkeeper with him to Crystal Palace. However, he's now snapped up England Under-20 keeper Scott Flinders in a deal worth around £1million for his club Barnsley.
