Okocha Over and Out

The Nigerian midfielder has previously said the Tigers will be his last team before retirement, and was willing to play on for another year. However, Phil Brown has opted against offering the out-of-contract player a new deal.

That could mean the last of Okocha's 19 games for the club - coming off the bench in the final minute away to Colchester in March - was his final game in professional football.

David Livermore is another player leaving City. The midfielder had already reached an agreement with the club to forget the trigger in his contract that would have resulted in a one-year extension after his 25th appearance of the season, although he only got to 24 anyway. The 28-year-old made 50 starts and 12 substitute appearances since joining from Leeds just under 2 years ago, scoring 6 goals.

Northern Ireland Under-20 international Brewster Frizzell and fellow defender Frank Belt also leave the club. Both players came through Billy Russell's youth team but failed to make it into Phil Brown's side.
