North Ferriby United 0-4 Hull City

Enjoyable game. Looked very comfortable and a class above Ferriby (which isn't always as obvious as it sounds). Marney scored cool first from Geovanni through ball. Atkinson tapped in from Windass cross. Turner tapped in a Folan knock down in the second half and then Barmby scored a cracking diving header from Dawson's cross.

Teams were:

First half: Matt Duke; Ryan France, Matt Plummer (Nicky McNamara), Joe Lamplough, Sam Ricketts; Craig Fagan, John Welsh, Dean Marney, Will Atkinson; Dean Windass, Geovanni.

Second half: Boaz Myhill; Nathan Doyle, Michael Turner, Liam Cooper, Andy Dawson; Richard Garcia, Ian Ashbee, Bryan Hughes, Nicky Featherstone, Nick Barmby; Caleb Folan.

In the first half, Fagan was excellent, Ricketts looked sharp, Atkinson showed really good movement, Deano was full of enthusiasm and Geovanni showed glimpses of magic.

In the second, we created a ton of chances. Folan was great linking up but pretty tragic in front of goal. Lots of quality from Barmby and a tad from Featherstone too.

Very solid at the back, limiting Ferriby to one shot in 70 minutes. A good start to pre-season.
