The 19-year-old Arsenal trainee has played in three friendlies for City, against Selby, Grimsby and North Ferriby, but the pacy Congo-born forward has not sufficiently impressed Jan Molby into offering him a contract.
City only have four professional forwards on their books and is an area Molby is looking to strengthen, but Itonga is not the right man.
