Myhill took a whack to the face from Macclesfield striker Jonathan Parkin when the two challenged for a cross late on in today's FA Cup game, which finished 4-0 in City's favour.

After several minutes of treatment, he needed assistance from physio Simon Maltby and teammate Damien Delaney in hobbling off the pitch before getting on a stretcher and being carried away with his head in his hands.

However, Taylor says that he has nothing more than a hurt nose, and he will be fine to play in the midweek trip to Sheffield Wednesday.

Reserve 'keeper Matt Duke was on the bench for today's game after being injured himself recently, although he didn't get chance to come on as City had already used up their three substitutions. Defender Marc Joseph took Duke's shirt and gloves to guard the goal for the remaining few minutes of the match but didn't have a shot to save.
