The 25-year-old goalkeeper was born in California and brought up in the UK. He represented England at youth levels, but also qualifies to play for Wales through the mother's side of his family, as well as the USA.

He's now decided to pledge his allegience to Wales, and could win his first full cap away to Luxembourg next Wednesday.

Wales boss John Toshack said: "We have been trying to persuade him to play for us for a long time, and on a couple of previous occasions he has held back. He can play for three countries, but maybe his Welsh mum has had a word."

Youth team defender Liam Cooper was recently included in the Scotland Under-17s squad.

Elsewhere, David Livermore is back with Oldham Athletic. He has missed their last four games due to a hip injury, which he returned to Hull City to receive treatment for.

Nick Barmby was operated on for a groin injury on Saturday, and is expected back in training in 10 days' time.

Craig Fagan will have a scan on his knee prior to tomorrow's game at Colchester, but Caleb Folan and Jay-Jay Okocha return after suspensions.
