Molby: No Wholesale Changes

Last updated : 21 September 2002 By Andy Beill
Molby is giving away no clues as to who will be dropped, though Phil Jevons is highly expected to lose his place as he is still not fully fit from a leg injury.

Sections of the crowd are calling for recalls for Paul Musselwhite and Mike Edwards, though Molby says he won't make massive changes.

He said: "I can assure you that there won't be wholesale changes, but we just make one or two adjustments.
"You have to have continuity in your side and a knee-jerk reaction isn't always the best response to a bad defeat.
"If as a manager you feel that the same players can go out there the week after and put things right then there's no point in making sweeping changes.
"We didn't give Macclesfield the respect they deserved but that won't happen at Oxford and hopefully we won't make that mistake again all season."

Expected line-up (4-4-2): Glennon; Edwards, Whittle, Anderson, Smith; Green, Ashbee, Keates, Williams; Alexander, Johnson.
Subs: Musselwhite, Regan, Price, Dudfield, Bradshaw.
