Molby: I'm Not Going Anywhere

Last updated : 09 October 2002 By Andy Beill
City chairman Adam Pearson said that the Dane had offered to quit, but Molby has quashed the stories. Pearson has refused to give any further comment.

"I can categorically deny 100% that I have offered to resign as manager," said Molby.
He continued: "Do I still expect to be the manager by the end of the week? That's not a question for me. It's something you should be asking the chairman but as far as I'm concerned I expect to be in charge on Saturday.
"I spoke to the chairman on Monday. There was nothing unusual or special about that because I speak to him every day. There was nothing negative said on either side. At no time did we discuss my future and at no time did I say I was prepared to resign. It was never mentioned. I was as surprised as anyone by the reports.
"I've said before I don't fear the sack and that is still the case. Yes, the current position worries me but I'm not losing sleep over it.
"I'll carry on doing this job to the best of my ability. As far as I'm concerned, I'm not going anywhere."
