Melton Moves On

The former Nottingham Forest, Stoke and Brighton midfielder joined City on loan in November 2002. He scored the first ever goal at the KC Stadium in the opening match against Sunderland and was snapped up on a permanent deal.

However, the 25-year-old's struggled to make an impact since then and hasn't started a league game this season.

He joins Boston on a free transfer, signing to stay in his native Lincolnshire until 2006. The deal does not permit him to play against City in the game at the end of the month.

He joins fellow ex-Tiger Greg Strong at York Street, who made the move earlier this month. The defender's still to make his debut for the Pilgrims due to injury. Mark Greaves and Matt Hocking are also on Steve Evans' books.
