Marney Signs New Contract

The midfielder joined on a three-year deal from Spurs in 2006, costing a reported £1million in the end after helping City to promotion last season. With his contract expiring at the end of this season, the club have now extended it by three years. Along with Peter Halmosi, he is now on the longest contract, tied to the club until the summer of 2012.

Nathan Doyle recently signed a new contract until 2011, despite not yet this season adding to his 2 previous league appearances for the club.

Meanwhile, Dean Windass has written in his ITV blog that he is "not looking to go anywhere" after Aberdeen revealed their interest and rumours of approaches also from Leeds and Doncaster.
