John Welsh picked up an injury during Saturday's defeat to Sunderland and is replaced by Marney in midfield.

Nicky Forster is dropped to a very attack-minded bench, with Phil Parkinson opting to play Jon Parkin as a lone striker. Elliott comes into the team, with Damien Delaney - used as a makeshift left winger on Saturday- tucking into central midfield with Elliott outside of him.

Ryan France hasn't made the squad, with Mark Yeates taking his place as a substitute. Parkinson also has forwards Barmby, Bridges and Forster to call upon if City are chasing the game against 2nd-from-bottom Southend at Roots Hall.

Starting line-up (4-5-1): Boaz Myhill; Sam Ricketts, Danny Mills, Michael Turner, Andy Dawson; Craig Fagan, Ian Ashbee, Dean Marney, Damien Delaney, Stuart Elliott; Jon Parkin.
Subs: Matt Duke, Mark Yeates, Nick Barmby, Michael Bridges, Nicky Forster.
