A raptured achilles is the latest in a long line of serious injuries the midfielder has suffered in his 9-year Tigers career. After more than 200 games for City - the last of those coming over a year ago - he's ending his playing career.

However, he will stay with the club after being given a job in the commercial department.

The end of his career as a Tigers player will be marked at the end of the season when he will be given his own testimonial as thanks for his service to the club.
