The latest blow - a snapped achilles tendon - is expected to rule him out for between 6 and 12 months, meaning he'll almost certainly miss the rest of the season.
The midfielder's contract is up at the end of next season, and it remains to be seen whether or not he will stick it out that long or call it a day on his injury-plagued career.
