Loan Keeper On The Way

While making his league debut at Hartlepool in place of the suspended Boaz Myhill, 27-year-old Duke suffered a back injury in the first half. With no goalkeeper on the bench, he carried on for the full 90 minutes in the 2-0 defeat, but that will be the last of his action for 2 months.

Peter Taylor will now look to bring in cover for number 1 Boaz Myhill - the only fit professional goalkeeper on the club's books - on loan. Enquiries are being made to Premiership clubs about borrowing one of their backups in time for Saturday's visit to Bristol City.

Meanwhile, Taylor has hinted at pairing up Delroy Facey and Nick Barmby in attack for that game. Stuart Elliott will also be returning to the side, but Ian Ashbee begins a three-match ban for being sent off on Saturday. The club won't be appealing that red card after watching the replay.
