Little Disappointed at Dropping Points

Brian Little - unable to explain second half performance
After dominating in the first half and taking the lead, Hartlepool were allowed to play in the second half and equalised in the 89th minute.

Little said: "I'm disappointed because after a very good first half in which we scored a decent goal we went all defensive.
"I can't offer you a reason as to why that happened but it certainly wasn't an instruction which some people suggested."

Little admitted that Hartlepool deserved their goal and that City can have no complaints with dropping two points after their poor second half performance.

"The goal we conceded was a bad one from our point of view but the lads played with their hearts and not their heads after half time. It's difficult to understand why.
"In the first half, we were strong and solid and we controlled things. But as the game went on, Hartlepool came into it more and on the balance of play you have to say they deserved to get something out of it."

City have dropped down a place to 5th, with Rochdale beating York 5-4 to move above us. Mansfield's game was postponed so they now have three games in hand over us, and are already three points ahead. See the full league table here.
