Lewis Agrees To Stay

The veteren midifelder played 13 games on loan to help City to promotion from League Two in 2003/04, and signed a one-year deal after being released by Leicester.

He again played a big part as City achieved promotion to the Championship, starting 33 games and coming on as a substitute 9 times in League One. At the end of the season he was rewarded for his contribution with the offer of another one-year deal, and has now finally put pen to paper.

The 31-year-old may find first team chances hard to come by this season with competition from Keith Andrews, Curtis Woodhouse, Ian Ashbee, Stuart Green and Russell Fry among the players bidding for a central midfield place, but Lewis seems up for the fight.

Another player fighting to be part of Peter Taylor's plans is Aaron Wilbraham. The transfer-listed forward has attracted the interest of Rotherham, but he says he doesn't want to go.

He told the Hull Daily Mail: "I've only just got back from holiday so I'm not sure what's happening but there's no way I want to go Rotherham, or any other club. I've not spoken to anyone.
"I know things didn't work out last season but I'd ask people not to just judge me on that."
