Kovacevic is available on a free transfer after leaving Dundee United at the end of last season following an injury-hit campaign.
The 23-year-old, who moved to Tannadice in 2008, was restricted to just two appearances for United last term due to a serious knee problem.
However, he is now on the look-out for a new club and has revealed the Nigel Pearson managed Tigers are on his trial.
Kovacevic is leaving the matter in the hands of his agent, but confirmed he would be interested in linking up with the Championship club.
"I'm aware of Hull's interest and I'm leaving my agent to deal with it," said Kovacevic in the Daily Record.
"I know they were in the Premiership not that long ago so it would appeal to me."
