The midfielder played in the Carling Cup defeat to Wrexham last week and came off the bench at Barnsley on Saturday, and managed to score in both games. Such form could see him included in the starting line-up in place of either Junior Lewis or Stuart Green.

Peter Taylor has no new injury worries to deal with so the possible call-up for Keane is the only likely change, although there is hot competition for a place up front. Aaron Wilbraham made his first start on Saturday after returning from a suspension, while Danny Allsopp, Jon Walters, Delroy Facey, Stuart Elliott and Nick Barmby offer alternative options.

Expected line-up (4-4-2): Myhill; Joseph, Cort, Delaney, Dawson; Barmby, Ashbee, Lewis, Keane; Wilbraham, Elliott.
