The Tigers were due to take on Feyenoord on Tuesday, July 26, but the game is the second summer friendly involving the Dutch side against an English club to have been scrapped on police advice.

Barnsley were due to take on Feyenoord on Saturday, July 23, in preparation for the new Championship season, but that was also cancelled because of the threat of "large-scale disorder".

A Tigers statement said: "Hull City have cancelled the pre-season friendly match against Dutch side Feyenoord.

"Scheduled to take place at the KC Stadium on Tuesday July 26, the match has been cancelled in consultation with police on the grounds of public safety."

Hull have four other pre-season friendlies arranged - at North Ferriby on July 19 and at Winterton Rangers (July 20) before a trip to Grimsby (July 23) and then a game at League Two champions Chesterfield (July 30).
