Hull manager Nigel Pearson will be without nine first-team players.

Goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi (Hungary Under-21s), defenders Joe Dudgeon and Corry Evans (both Northern Ireland Under-21s) and midfielders Tom Cairney (Scotland Under-21s), Robert Brady (Republic of Ireland Under-21s) and Robert Koren (Slovenia) are all on international duty.

Pearson is also without injured defender Liam Rosenior (knee) and strikers Aaron Mclean (calf) and Dele Adebola, who sustained a back injury on his debut in Friday night's defeat to Blackpool.

Goalkeeper Adriano Basso, a free summer signing from Wolves, defender Andy Dawson and midfield pair James Harper and Nick Barmby could all feature against Macclesfield.

Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson will be missing a number of players.

Colin Daniel (hernia), Tom Fisher (knee), Vinny Mukendi (hamstring) remain sidelined and Waide Fairhurst will be assessed.

The striker was forced off after just 42 minutes in Saturday's 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Dagenham following a heavy challenge.

Simpson will also check on frontman Emile Sinclair, who replaced Fairhurst at the weekend but is also nursing a slight hamstring strain.

Paul Morgan is expected back in full training this week but Elliott Hewitt is unavailable as he is in the Wales U21 squad who play Hungary on Wednesday night.
