Hull will be without injured defender James Chester for the home clash with Blackpool.
Chester sustained a hamstring injury during the weekend defeat to Peterborough and is expected to be sidelined for three weeks.
Manager Steve Bruce has the option of recalling Liam Rosenior, who replaced Chester on Saturday, or he could turn to Republic of Ireland international Paul McShane.
Midfielder Seyi Olofinjana is also doubtful. The Nigerian returned to the side at the weekend following a hamstring injury, but is now struggling with an abductor muscle problem and Bruce is not keen to risk him in a second game in four days.
Defender Joe Dudgeon shook off a knee injury last week in time to face Posh and should continue, while striker Aaron McLean, midfielder Corry Evans and defender Andy Dawson - all unused substitutes at the weekend - are hoping to feature.
Striker Matty Fryatt (Achilles) is not yet ready to return and defender Jack Hobbs and midfielder Tom Cairney (both knee) remain long-term absentees.
Blackpool are likely to be missing Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Tom Ince as they travel east.
The pair were ruled out of the 3-0 defeat at Cardiff hours before they were due to travel to Wales.
Forward Taylor-Fletcher is struggling with a back injury while winger Ince has a hip problem.
Kevin Phillips and Matt Phillips were brought in for the duo as boss Ian Holloway made seven changes to the team that lost 3-1 at Huddersfield.
But, following the heavy loss, the manager is expected to shake things up once more. Nathan Delfouneso, Isaiah Osbourne, Barry Ferguson, Tiago Gomes and Neal Eardley were all dropped to the bench at the weekend and are pushing for returns to the starting XI.
Blackpool have not suffered three league defeats on the bounce since their season in the Premier League in 2010/11.
