The Tigers revealed last week Zayatte had left the club in order to return home to France on compassionate grounds, effectively tearing up his reported £20,000-a-week contract which still had 18 months to run.
A club statement read: "Kamil leaves with the club's best wishes and regards for his future career."
Hull paid Swiss club Young Boys £2.5million for Zayatte in January 2009 following a long-term loan spell.
Manager Nigel Pearson has since signed Tunisia midfielder Tijani Belaid, 23, until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
