Hull fans vote for name change

ers.

A total of 2,565 fans voted in a recent ballot in favour of the name change with the Allam family continuing in charge of the club, while only 48 fewer rejected the proposal.

However, with only a 39 per cent turnout, just 17 per cent of season ticket holders eligible to vote backed the name change.

Of the 15,033 eligible to vote, 9,159 chose not to.

Owner Assem Allam, whose financial backing helped return the club to the Barclays Premier League, has vowed to walk away from the KC Stadium if the name change is blocked.

The Football Association is yet to decide on the proposals.

Hull said in a statement the ballots were counted independently by Beyond Dispute.
