Hull boss Silva ready to halt Foxes momentum

The Tigers head for the King Power Stadium on Saturday having dragged themselves into the thick of the scrap at the bottom with a return of eight points from the Portuguese's six league games at the helm, a significant improvement on the 13 they had taken from the first 20.

However, there is still much work to be done and, after the champions launched the post-Claudio Ranieri era with a rousing 3-1 victory over Liverpool on Monday evening, Silva has warned his side they will have to halt the Foxes' new-found momentum immediately if they are to prosper.

He told the club's official website, www.hullcitytigers.com: "Every game we play is a big opportunity for us to take points and move up the table.

"We need to think game by game and right now we only think about Leicester on Saturday

They have had a change in management and when this happens there is normally a change in the performance of the team.

"We need to be ready for this situation, but what we really need to focus on is our own work and to do it to our best on the pitch."
