That game is followed by trips to Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves in the second week of the season.
Boxing Day will be away at Crewe, followed by the visit of Ipswich on Wednesday 28th December.
City will see out the year at Elland Road on Saturday 31st December in the first competitive meeting with Leeds since February 1990.
The first game of 2006 will be at home to Sheffield United two days later.
The return fixtures against those clubs are again in succession on 1st and 8th April. They're followed by matches against Burnley, Derby and Preston, before the final game of the season at Watford.
