He is now training down at Ashton Gate and will play in their final friendly of pre-season.
Manager Danny Wilson said: "He's out of contract at the moment so we are just having a look at him and he will play some part in the match at Hereford where we'll see how he does and whether he is what we are looking for. If first impressions are good then we may extend his trial period."
