The player tweeted that he was "still trying to sort it [contract]", which expires this summer.
Australian Garcia made history last summer when he became the first Hull City player to feature at a World Cup finals, in South Africa.
Garcia signed for the Tigers four years ago from Colchester United and has made 116 appearances for the club.
