Mark Lynch could make his City debut at right-back. Andy Dawson has recovered from a hamstring injury and may get the nod over Roland Edge at left-back. Marc Joseph is also over a hamstring injury, but may not be selected ahead of Danny Coles, Leon Cort or Damien Delaney.
Taylor may opt for a solid central midfield pairing of Ian Ashbee and Keith Andrews, with Curtis Woodhouse and Stuart Green on the bench to offer something different. Stuart Elliott and Ryan France are likely starters on the wings.
Nick Barmby and Craig Fagan have been paired together in a number of friendlies, and seem to be Taylor's preference. Ben Burgess is fit as well, and £220,000 signing Steve McPhee will surely figure in Taylor's plans.
