He was substituted in the first half of Saturday's game after suffering the injury, and is now to have a specialist look at it.

With this Saturday's game against Rochdale postponed he has almost two weeks to recover, with City's next match on April 5th at home to Wrexham.

However, even if he does face a spell on the sidelines Peter Taylor has vowed not to make any more signings ahead of the transfer deadline at the end of the week. Instead, Phil Jevons could be given a starting place after impressing at the weekend.

City could also have Daniel Webb back in the fold with his loan spell at Lincoln coming to an end. So far he's made 3 appearances for the Imps without scoring, but the deal could be extended until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Martin Reeves - who was also injured during the game against Shrewsbury - is still struggling with a pelvic injury, while Marc Joseph (ankle) and Steve Melton (dead leg) also have knocks.
