The 33-year-old Northern Ireland international has interested a number of clubs since his return from a three-month loan spell at Sheffield United.

A move to Second Division strugglers Grimsby Town is to be completed tomorrow, which will keep him at Blundell Park until the end of the season. He then has another year left on his Hull City contract if a permanent deal isn't agreed.

Tigers manager Peter Taylor commented: "It's a great chance for him to have the opportunity to play some games."

Meanwhile, Grimsby's approach for Fettis' team-mate John Anderson has come to nothing after the defender turned down the move.
