Falkirk Hanging On To Duffy

Peter Taylor told the Daily Record: "He's a player who I have had an interest in and I have made an enquiry, but I am not prepared to go into any details."

The former Rangers trainee joined Falkirk a year ago, and scored 27 goals in his first season in professional football, helping Falkirk achieve promotion to the Scottish Premier League. He's an invaluable asset to the Bairns, and manager John Hughes says he's going nowhere.

He told their official website: "I've spoken to Darryl and he is fully committed to Falkirk FC. The player is relishing the challenge of playing in the SPL with us and I can confirm that we are currently in negotiations with him to extend his contract at the club."

Taylor may now move for Dagenham and Redbridge striker Chris Moore. He's held back from putting in a firm offer after negotiations with Daggers boss John Still, but might go for it after getting the red light over Duffy.

Moore himself says that he would favour the move. He told the Barking and Dagenham Reporter: "I know John Still has spoken to Peter Taylor but I also know it didn't go any further. But if John turned around and said to me the club had received an offer too good to refuse, then I would definitely consider the move; I would be silly not to."
