24-year-old Edwards was one of the only positives in a season of misery for the Mariners which ended with relegation to Division Three. He made 33 league appearances, scoring once.
His contract is now up, and he has decided to depart Blundell Park to join Notts County, who were relegated along with Grimsby. He's signed a three-year contract.
