Webb's month came to an end on Saturday as the U's won 1-0 at Macclesfield. He'll now stay for a second month as he looks for his second goal to persuade John Taylor into signing him on a permanent contract.

Peat made his first start at the weekend after 3 substitute appearances. The midfielder still has another week to run on the present deal, but has extended it by another month to keep him at the Abbey Stadium through February.

Neil McCafferty has also agreed a second month on loan to Cambridge from Charlton, and Taylor commented of the trio: "They've all added something to the side."
