Donaldson Moves On

The 21-year-old forward is out of contract and Peter Taylor had decided not to offer him a new one, so he will now join Conference side York.

Manager Billy McEwen said of his signing: "He will bring competition up front and has a bit of pace and penetration. He's a young player who is very hungry for this chance."

6'1" Donaldson came through the youth ranks at Hull City, and scored on his professional debut. In the LDV Trophy match at Port Vale in October 2002 - one of Peter Taylor's first games in charge - he scored 12 minutes after coming on as a substitute. He came off the bench again for two league games later that season, without scoring.

He made two more substitute appearances in LDV Trophy games in 2003/04, but hasn't featured since then, and never started a league match.

The Bradford-born player has had loan spells at Scarborough, Halifax and Harrogate over the past couple of years, and has never really figured in Taylor's first team plans at the KC Stadium.
