Dawson is out for a couple of months with a broken foot suffered in the defeat to Crystal Palace, and Delaney is expected to switch to full back as he did in that game. Curtis Woodhouse and Kevin Ellison were given 45 minutes each at that position in the 4-1 reserve win against Grimsby on Wednesday and prove Peter Taylor with other possible options.

Nick Barmby isn't expected to have recovered from a hamstring injury so misses a second game.

Jon Parkin will stay in the side after making a goalscoring debut against Palace. Fellow new signing Darryl Duffy will be hoping for his first start, but Taylor could go with Craig Fagan again. Billy Paynter is also available, and staked his claim for a place with a goal on Wednesday.

Taylor says that John Welsh is ready to play again and may get a recall. Curtis Woodhouse is another alternative to partner Keith Andrews in midfield, as is Stuart Green if his knee injury isn't too bad. The City boss also has to decide who to start with on the wings.

Expected line-up (4-4-2): Boaz Myhill; Ryan France, Leon Cort, Sam Collins, Damien Delaney; Jason Price, Keith Andrews, John Welsh, Stuart Elliott; Craig Fagan, Jon Parkin.
Subs from: Sergio Leite, Mark Lynch, Curtis Woodhouse, Kevin Ellison, Stuart Green, Darryl Duffy, Billy Paynter.
