Wicks suffered a torn hamstring in the Scunthorpe game last month. Goodison came on for him, but that was to prove to be his last appearance in the black and amber having since suffered up a recurrence of a knee injury.
Goodison is expected to leave when his contract expires in the summer, while Wicks will have to impress the new manager to keep his place.
