The new season kicks off on 7th August with City taking on Bournemouth at the KC Stadium, but it looks unlikely that the 24-year-old will be match fit.
Peter Taylor does still have regular centre back pair Damien Delaney and Marc Joseph so Cort's injury shouldn't set his plans back too much.
