The 20-year-old defender, who can also play in midfield, is a product of Hull City's youth system and has made two starts for the Tigers in cup competitions. Town boss Aidy Boothroyd said: "He is athletic, tough, he gets stuck in and he has a real hunger to do well and that is exactly the sort of character we are delighted to bring to the club." East, who is eligible in the Capital One Cup and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, will remain with the Cobblers until after the game at Burton on September 29th.
