Club Respond To Transfer Rumours

Rumours have been rife since Tigers manager Peter Taylor missed his post-match interviews on Saturday due to "important club business", which assistant manager Colin Murphy hinted could be transfer dealings.

Mansfield's 17-goal star Liam Lawrence has been a name banded around by a number of fans. City have also been rumoured to be hijacking Huddersfield's move for Preston forward Pawel Abbott, who scored 4 goals in a 6-game loan spell with the Terriers. Two of the big names in Division Three this season - Swansea forward Lee Trundle and Scunthorpe's loan Ranger Steve MacLean - have been touted, while former interest in Torquay's David Graham could be rekindled.

However, Pearson has denied that City are venturing into the transfer market: "I know what people are saying but I can assure you we will not be signing anyone else this season.
"Peter and I are more than happy with the squad. Saturday was a very important result and we have every confidence the players will kick on from here."
