Club Hoping to Beat the Freeze

The club need people to come with plastic spades and wheel barrows if possible to get the snow off the covers on the pitch.

The covers are currently being borrowed from West Ham United, but need to be removed so that the grass can get sunlight.

City stand to gain around £30,000 from TV revenue, with the Carlisle clash being shown live on ITV Sport Channel.

City's game with Hartlepool yesterday was called off due to the weather, and the Boxing Day fixture at York was also called off. If City continue to progress in the LDV Trophy then we could start to see fixture congestion, so it is important that the Carlisle game goes ahead as planned on Friday.

If you want to help the club out then contact the main reception at Boothferry Park and you will be given a free match ticket in exchange. Phone 01482 575263 for further information.

Meanwhile, the team's training facilities at Hull University are also presently out of bounds due to the weather. Brian Little is having to hold light training sessions on the pitch behind the South Stand at Boothferry Park.
