Club Ban Chanters

The opening match of the season was tainted by a small section of people in the East Stand singing chants to visiting Queens Park Rangers fans referring to the London bombings.

A hotline was set up to name and shame those responsible for it, and after studying CCTV footage, the Stadium Management Company has been able to identify and ban eight people, all aged between 17 and 27.

Stadium manager Neil Cooper said: "If they want to come back to us and can prove that they recognise the error of their ways and they have changed then we will talk to them. If not, the door is closed to them permanently."

Six others have also been given final warnings over their behaviour.
