The Lithuanian forward, on trial with the Scottish Premier League side, scored
midway through the first half. Calum Elliott played it across Boaz Myhill's goal for Jankauskas to tap in after 24 minutes.

Peter Taylor made a number of substitutions at half time and during the second half, so that City ended the game with an entirely different eleven to those who started, with youth team players called upon to make up the numbers. The changes didn't help the quality of the game, which turned out to be a rather dull affair with few chances.

First half line-up: Boaz Myhill; Mark Lynch, Leon Cort, Damien Delaney, Roland Edge; Stuart Green, Ian Ashbee, Curtis Woodhouse, Kevin Ellison; Nick Barmby, Craig Fagan.
Second half line-up: Sergio Leite; Scott Wiseman, Marc Joseph, Damien Delaney (Michael Byron 71), Andy Dawson; Ryan France, Ian Ashbee (Ben Wilkinson), Keith Andrews, Stuart Elliott; Russell Fry, Kevin Ellison (Alistair Benson 71).
