City Set for Derby Day

Mike Edwards and Lawrie Dudfield remain on the injury list, but otherwise Peter Taylor should have pretty much a full squad to pick from to take on the Iron. Greg Strong made his return from an elbow injury in the Reserves on Wednesday and could be in contention.

However, Taylor is likely to stick with the same side that took home a point from Shrewsbury on Tuesday, with the only possible changes being in attack.

Gary Alexander and goalscorer Stuart Elliott started that match, but Taylor also has Phil Jevons, Gary Bradshaw and possibly Michael Branch contending for a place up front.

Branch is battling to get back to full fitness after suffering a hamstring injury three weeks ago. Tomorrow is his last day at Boothferry Park before returning to Wolves, and he is expected to be named amongst the substitutes in a last chance to impress.

Expected line-up (4-4-2): Musselwhite; Regan, Whittle, Anderson, Delaney; Green, Ashbee, Keates, Williams; Alexander, Elliott.
Subs from: Deeney, Burton, Strong, Peat, Philpott, Bradshaw, Jevons, Branch.
