Rodney Rowe
Rodney Rowe - stretchered off
Rodney Rowe and Gary Alexander - both recalled to the side after absences - had early chances but failed to beat the 'keeper Richardson.

Rowe was then injured after colliding with Richardson in the 20th minute. After receiving treatment for several minutes on the pitch he was stretchered off and taken away in an abulance later in the half.

Paul Musselwhite pulled off a great save at full-stretch from Paul Harsley when City's defence failed to clear, and Mike Edwards had to make a goal-line clearance.
But in the 38th minute Julian Johnsson headed us into the lead from David Beresford's corner.

Richard Sneekes fired just over before the half time whistle went after 7 minutes of stoppage time.

In the second half Gary Alexander had a great chance with a header, while Ryan Williams was causing problems.

Halifax caused late pressure for the City defence, and Gary Jones had a goal disallowed due to a linesman's flag.

No-one could believe that the home side didn't draw level when Town got into the box in stoppage time and Bushell's shot was blocked by Musselwhite, with Kerrigan failing to find the net with the rebound.

Starting line-up (4-4-2): Musselwhite; Edwards, Greaves, Wicks, Holt; Williams, Johnsson, Sneekes, Beresford; Alexander, Rowe (Roberts).
Un-used subs: Glennon, Van Blerk, Morley, Philpott.
